Director of Finance
Oversees all financial and functions of the Company. Provides oversight of the Company’s financial management strategy and contributes to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. Duties/Responsibilities: Finance:
  • Directs all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Analyzes company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.
  • Provides strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
  • Develops and coordinates all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
  • Develops and maintains all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensures that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Works with accounting team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
  • Coordinates, prepares, and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Coordinates with accounting firm in the preparation of tax schedules, returns and information.
  • Manages all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
  • Develops and maintains a strong credit and collections process that maximizes cash flow and minimizes investment.
  • Provide technical advice within the financial discipline.
  • Manage ERP system.
Strategic Planning:
  • Coordinate efforts to prepare and manage to the five-year plan, annual budgets, and periodic forecasts.
  • Prepare cost benefit analysis for investment and growth projects.
  • Coordinate efforts to satisfy reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzes company operations to determine opportunities and areas that need to be expanded, reorganized, downsized, or eliminated.

Senior Cost Accountant/Analyst
This is a professional position responsible for contributing to the profitability of Yuasa by providing accurate, timely and actionable financials as it relates to the production and costs of manufacturing. Duties/Responsibilities: Inventory
  • Assist the Director of Finance with the annual physical and daily cycle count process.
  • Investigate cycle count variances and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and update the standard costs.
  • Audit and control the Bills of Materials, routings, and overhead applications used in production.
  • Validate and analyze the cost of goods sold monthly.
  • Maintain an adequate reserve for obsolescence and dispose of obsolete inventory within the Delegation of Authority.
Accounting, Analysis, and Other Duties
  • Prepare month-end journal entries as they relate to the manufacturing and distribution.
  • Prepare, journal, and analyze the valuation of commodities (lead) and maintain required reserves.
  • Provide reports on material usage, labor productivity and efficiency, and overhead use to assist manufacturing and distribution with improvements and cost containment.
  • Provide analysis on breakeven points by products, work centers, etc. as needed.
  • Provide reports and analysis on variances in spending, efficiencies, and productivity.
  • Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending and efficiency variances.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budget processes by providing necessary information as it relates to manufacturing, inventory, and warehousing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Yuasa Battery, Inc. located in Reading, PA, is searching for a Warehouse Manager. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the warehouse and finishing areas. This key leadership position requires the ability to coach and direct supervisors, line leaders and employees while collaborating with internal and external resources and support functions to meet production requirements and exceed company goals.
    Essential Job Functions:
    • Ensures that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met for the shipping, warehouse and finishing requirements.
    • Assists in the budgetary actions for the warehouse and the finishing departments.
    • Trains and onboards new hires and ensures an understanding of the role.
    • Performs continuous inspections of the product to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Reviews all customer concerns related to overage and underage of product shipments.
    • Implements corrective action plans to reduce the occurrence of errors.
    • Plans and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of finishing and shipping.
    • Generates and allocates all outgoing orders for all customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for Capex planning, managing the Process Engineering Team, management of in-house tooling, and establishing and documenting the manufacturing procedures. Essential Functions:
    • Oversee the development of the CapEx budget and 5-year Capital Plan. Coordinate the planning process across all departments. Assume responsibility for the overall management of the capital budget.
    • Assign responsibilities, create timelines and schedules for major projects; monitor project progress and ensure timelines and budgets are met.
    • Assume project management responsibilities for major CapEx projects.
    • Manage the process and automation engineering departments.
    • Assist and support in the development of new processes and equipment.
    • Understand the technical details of Yuasa’s processes, and communicate with employees in cross-functional departments.
    • Propose projects that promote opportunities to improve the accuracy and reliability of existing equipment.
    • Collaborate with the Quality and Product Engineering Managers on scrap improvement projects aimed at meeting company targets.

    Yuasa Battery Inc., headquartered in Laureldale, PA, is currently searching for a qualified, high-energy experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to work in our Laureldale facility on 2nd shift (1:30 p.m.- 9:45 p.m.). Qualified candidates will be expected to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facility equipment to meet or exceed company established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.     • PLC experience to aid in machine diagnosing
    • Strong knowledge of trouble shooting techniques to determine exact problems and how to address them
    • Experience with control systems

    • Basic understanding of drawings and how to use them to aid in repair and installation
