Associate Accounting Manager

Yuasa Battery Inc., headquartered in Laureldale, PA, is searching for a qualified, self-motivated Associate Accounting Manager to work in our Laureldale facility. This individual will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic reports and maintenance of account records and accurate and timely financial management of the organization.

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, month-end close, and accounts reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist with regulatory reporting as applicable.
  • Prepare monthly KPI’s, trend, and performance reports.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal control guidelines and policies and procedures. Ensure control systems fall within the parameters set by the parent company and compliance of JSOX.
  • Responsible for fixed assets and a controlled capital spending process, including post-capitalization analysis.
  • Coordinate the development of annual budget and forecasts.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives to streamline reporting.
  • Assist with treasury and tax functions.
  • Assist with annual financial audit and financial statement preparation.
  • Other reporting and duties as assigned.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Understand US GAAP and applicable laws and regulations.

This position is responsible for coordinating the internal resources to successfully satisfy customer requests and inquiries of our key domestic and OE and OES accounts.
The ideal candidate will be results driven and have strong customer client focus and account management skills.  Qualified applicants should be detail oriented, possess superior communication and organizational skills and have a strong sense of urgency.

Essential Job Functions include:

  • Manage sales inquiries, price quotations, pricing negotiations, contract reviews/negotiations and other sales activities related to OE/OES accounts.
  • Manage allocations and sales volumes for the OE customers as per the approved sales agreements with each customer.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key OE/OES accounts.
  • Responsible for forecasting and planning of accounts.
  • Assist and coordination of VA/VE activities and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, prepare customer presentations.

      Essential Functions:

      • Operate, test, maintain or calibrate manufacturing equipment throughout the entire facility.
      • Support maintenance and manufacturing in troubleshooting issues with hardware and processes.
      • Suggest improvements to systems and follow through with implementation.
      • Plan preventative maintenance on systems.
      • Maintain quality and ensure safety standards are upheld.

      Required Skills/Abilities:

      • Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems.
