Congratulations to the MotoAmerica Yuasa Stock 1000 Champion
Yuasa Battery is proud to congratulate the 2022 champion of the MotoAmerica Yuasa Stock 1000, Corey Alexander. Since his return to racing in 2019, Corey has come close to the title twice, in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, with strong support from his new team and sponsors, Corey’s dedication, resilience, and racecraft shined, helping him deliver his team a championship in their maiden season.
According to Sean Bice for MotoAmerica, up until just a few years ago, Alexander thought his road racing career was a thing of the past. Despite being a former champion, Alexander didn’t race for a few years until he returned for a limited run in 2019. As Bice put it, “He found that he still had the talent and the passion to race, so in 2020, he made a return to MotoAmerica full-time.”
Corey joined a new team, Tytlers Cycle/RideHVMC Racing, and pulled double duty on his BMW M 1000RR, competing in the Yuasa Battery Stock 1000, and the MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike in 2022. He started the season strong with a victory in race one, and didn’t take his hand off the throttle on his way to seven total race wins, and ultimately the championship.
Congratulations to Corey Alexander and Tytlers Cycle/RideHVMC Racing for an incredible season and championship!
