Business Development Manager

  • Attend industry functions and become a subject matter expert on Yuasa business products, processes, and operations; remain up to date on industry news.
  • Identify new market strategies and new go-to-market strategies.

  • Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing or sales experience.
  • Experience in the Battery and/or Powersports industries preferred.
  • Ability to travel (minimal requirement).
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose equipment-based solutions for clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including facilitation of group presentations.

Maintenance Technician – 2nd and 3rd Shift

Yuasa Battery, Inc., the leading manufacturer, and distributor of power sports batteries located in Laureldale, Pennsylvania is searching for a results-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Required Skills/Abilities Required:

  • Able to use hand and power tools and do basic welding using ARC and MIG welders.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Creative thinker with logical problem-solving skills.
  • PLC (Rockwell and Mitsubishi) knowledge is a plus.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate with engineers, maintenance technicians, operators, and all levels of management.

As an Account Support Specialist you serve as the face and voice of the Yuasa brand.  The position requires an action-oriented, flexible problem-solver who will assist customers in resolving any and all customer facing inquiries.

You will be responsible for providing professional service to customers. Work independently and in partnership with others to meet and exceed customer expectations and requirements.  Communicate via various channels such as telephone, email and chat with customers and internal support areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, project a positive and helpful attitude, and be able to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities.

Senior Product Engineer

Yuasa Battery, Inc., the leading manufacturer, and distributor of power sports batteries located in Laureldale, Pennsylvania is searching for a results-oriented Senior Product Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of new and improved products and components.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate customer product and quality requirements and develop product designs.
  • Evaluate and develop product improvements.
  • Perform reliability testing, product qualification and product design qualification
  • Create and edit 2D drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.
  • Manage deadlines and assure timeliness of results.
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials and labor routings in ERP system.
  • Assist sales, manufacturing and quality in customer design reviews and product improvements.
  • Manage lab testing schedule for production testing.
  • Manage and mentor product engineering staff.
  • Provide technical customer service and support.
  • Maintain REACH, RoHS & Conflict Minerals approvals with OE customers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in product development and presenting technical information.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering component drawings.
  • Understanding of basic raw materials and their properties.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be an analytical thinker.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, project management software and 2D and 3D drawing packages.
  • Previous experience in lead-acid battery manufacturing is preferred
